Our Team

Fuchs Hair is founded by the Fuchs family, who bring three generations of hairdressing experience. As Fuchs Hair has grown, our team has drawn some of Sydney’s most celebrated hairdressers. When not in the salon, our stylists are brand ambassadors, international educators, and creatives producing editorial work and heading styling teams at fashion week.

Our Story

The story of the Fuchs family venture begins in 1955 when Hans Fuchs founded the family business in Switzerland. Starting by offering  haircuts in a small car garage, Hans soon opened a salon in the heart of the city of Lucerne.

 Thomas and his siblings soon followed their father’s path into hairdressing and expanded the family business to five luxury hair and beauty salons across Switzerland and one renowned training academy in Lucerne.

In 2008 Thomas’s son, Alex, arrived in Sydney and quickly became immersed in the Australian hairdressing industry. In 2013 his sister Rebecca joined him and together they set their sights on creating a space to practice their craft.

In 2018, Alex, Rebecca and their father Thomas Fuchs launched Fuchs Hair in Sydney.
